 NO MORE "ROCK ON TOMMY" AS AXE FALLS   
 Pete Townshend's rock opera Tommy will 
 definitely shut down on February 8.    
                                        
 The decision to axe the show, made     
 famous bz The Who, was taken due to    
 dwindling audiences.                   
                                        
 The musical, starring Kim Wilde and    
 Paul Kiating, earned eight nominations 
 at the Laurence Olivier Awards and will
 go on a two-year tour from September.  
                                        
 Producer Andre Ptaszznskj admitted:    
 "It's been hard establishing the show."
