It will support initiatives like pre- school playgroups, parent support groups, after-school projects, and volunteering projects for young people. It will support projects which promote self-help, community enterprise and regeneration through learning. The Board will also fund umbrella bodies and development agencies supporting voluntary organisations. Awards in the third programme coveting health, disability and care have just been announced bz the Board. Future rounds will focus on improving people's living environment, community involvement as well as voluntary sector development and a small grants scheme.
