 RESCUED PONY NEED NOT GO BACK TO OWNER 
 A judge has refused to rule that a     
 rescued pony must go back to the horse 
 breeder convicted of ill-treating it.  
                                        
 Supporters of the Society for the      
 Welfare of Horses and Ponies may keep  
 Target, a four-year-old Welsh cob.     
                                        
 But they will have to pay £250 damages 
 to owner Anthony Probjrt of            
 Abjtgavjnnz, south Wales.              
                                        
 Probjtt was convicted of causing       
 unnecessary suffering — but magisttateu
 ruled that he could have the pony back.
