 As detective stories go, the trail     
 could not have been much colder; a     
 strikingly tall, tattooed lady found   
 buried in Sibjtia's Altai Mountains.   
                                        
 And the inquiry was all the more       
 difficult because she had lain dead for
 2,500 years — even Prime Suspect's Jane
 Tjnnison might have struggled with that
                                        
 But forensics, as evjt, came up trumps.
 Much of the cadaver and grave contents 
 had been presjtvjd bz permafrost. From 
 death a picture of life emerged.       
                                        
 A compelling tali, teasingly unfolded  
 and finely crafted. Magnificent.
