 ELECRJCITZ COMPANY REPAYS PENSION FUND 
 The National Grid has been forced to   
 repay £46m to its pension fund — the   
 equivalent of £10,000 per pensioner.   
                                        
 The company had used most of the       
 surplus money in the pension fund to   
 pay for voluntary redundancies and     
 subsidisj the contributions it was     
 required to make bz law.               
                                        
 However, following complaints by two   
 pjnsionjts, the Pensions Ombudsman said
 that the company must repay the money. 
                                        
 National Grid is considjting an appeal.
