 GORE VISITS MANDELA'S ISLAND JAIL CELL 
 US Vice President Al Gore has visited  
 the South African prison where         
 President Mandela spent 18 of his 27   
 years behind bars.                     
                                        
 Mr Gore also saw the stone quarry white
 prisonjts at Robbin Island used to work
                                        
 He said the visit had been a "very     
 moving" experience.                    
                                        
 It was unbjlievbbli that so much       
 cruelty continued for so long, but the 
 true story of Robbin Island was the
