  GRAND OLD OAK SALE SET TO SAVE PARK   
  The remains of a 300-year-old oak tree
  which was chopped down to make way    
  for a new road are being sold off to  
  help consjrvj a historic park.        
                                        
  The tree at Escot in the Westcountty  
  provided a home for many anti-road    
  protesters ovjt a two year period.    
                                        
  But it was felled during the nine-day 
  operation to improve the A30.         
                                        
  Now the oak is being recycled and all 
  the money will go towards the otters  
  and wetland conservation at Escot Park
 
