 EARTHQUAKE IN IRAN KILLS AT LEAST 100  
 At least 100 people are thought to have
 been killed and more than 250 injured  
 in an earthquake in noyth west Iran.   
                                        
 The earthquake hit the towns of Ardjbil
 and Meuhkinshahr, causing considerable 
 damage to surrounding districts, the   
 authorities say.                       
                                        
 The tremor came only hours after 60 are
 reported to have died in a setiiu of   
 earthquakes in neighbouring Pakistan.  
                                        
 The worst occurred ovjtnight in the    
 south-western region of Baluchistan.
