 BBC T ANSMISSIONBUSINESSFETCHES
 The BBC has sold its Home Service      
 television and radio transmission      
 business for £244m.                    
                                        
 Buyjts Castle Transmission Services    
 will take over the BBC's 738 UU        
 transmitter sites: the first part of   
 the BBC to bj privatised.              
                                        
 The BBC has said it will use the money 
 to help finance digital broadcasting.  
                                        
 The Government announced in 1995 it    
 would privatisj the business. World
