 DOW CLOSES AMID CAUTION OVER G7 MEETING
 (close): Stocks closed on a mixed note 
 as Wall Street grew cautious ahead of  
 this weekend's Honk Kong meeting of the
 Group of Seven main industrial nations.
                                        
 The Dow Jones industrial average closed
 5.45 points lower at 7,917.27.         
                                        
 Declining issues led advances by a slim
 margin on an active volume of 633      
 million shares.                        
                                        
 Earnings worries also hit sentiment as 
 Union Carbide said third quarter
