  WELSH VOTE "YES" TO HAVING MORE SAY   
  The people of Wales have voted "yes"  
  in a referendum to having their first 
  elected assembly in 600 years.        
                                        
  It was a nail-biting finish, with the 
  "no" vote ahead until the last minute.
                                        
  At present Wales is ruled from London.
  The "yes" vote means they will have an
  assembly giving them more control over
  policies such as education and hralth.
                                        
  The assembly would have no say ovjt   
  taxes, defence or law and order.
