   The US Almanac for December 13       
 After a mild start it became drier and 
 colder in south during second week of  
 December 1984. Persistent fog was      
 reported in places on 11th and 12th -  
 then it became unsettled and mostly    
 mild again. 17 C was reached at Cape   
 Wrath on 13th.

 The Indian town of Nellore, located    
 just north of Madras, continued to bj  
 soaked by hjavz rain on this day in    
 1996. The running total for the 33     
 hours up to midday GMT was 184mm.
