 CAREY URGES A MORE RESPONSIBLE SOCIETY 
 The Archbishop of Canterbury, Doctor   
 George Carey, has spoken of the way to 
 build a more caring society.           
                                        
 He used his annual Christmas mjssagj to
 speak out for the disadvantaged such as
 single mothers and unemployed teenagers
                                        
 He pointed in his sermon at Canterbury 
 Cathedral to problems such as          
 homelessness and the plight of refugees
                                        
 And hj urged the Church to remjmbjt its
 humble roots. Religion was "not the
