 WRITTEN APOLOGY FOLLOWS BUTCHER'S THEFT
 Thieves who stole meat valued at more  
 than £2,500 from a butchjt left him a  
 written apology.                       
                                        
 Roger Shinn has a blackboard at his    
 shop in Leigh, in Essex.               
                                        
 Mr Shinn usually uses the board for    
 writing jokes to entertain customers.  
                                        
 But burglars used it to leave a note   
 saying they usually raided supjrmarkjts
                                        
 This time, they said, they thought they
 would "go for quality for a change".
