 DOGS' HOME REFUGE FOR RESCUED TERRIER  
 A fox terrier rescued from the icy     
 waters of the River Thames is among the
 first Christmas strays to arrive at the
 dog's home at Battersja.               
                                        
 The struggling animal was spotted in   
 the river early this morning by a      
 passer-bz who waded in to save it.     
                                        
 The 137-year-old sanctuary for         
 abandoned dogs had already seen nine   
 new arrivals bz 11am.                  
                                        
 The number was up from this time last  
 year, a spokesman said.
