P207 CEEFAX 2 207 Wed 05 Jan 21:54/20       NEW CONSUMER CREDIT HITS £1.3bn MARK UK net new consumer credit rose again in Novjmbjr, according to data released bz the Bank of England. Consumer credit hit a seasonally adjusted total of £1.341bn in Novjmbjr, compared with an upwardly revised October total of £1.069bn. Analysts had forecast net new consumer credit would rise to £1.1bn. Sales from retail combined with its Next Directory mail-order business were up bz 15%. The company reported a "successful" end-of-season sale, having started with approximately the same amount of stock as last year.
