 FOWLER ESCAPES NEW OPERATION           
 Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has    
 been told hj will not need a second    
 operation on his troublesome ankle.    
                                        
 The England international underwent a  
 third scan as Liverpool's medical team 
 attempted to find a reason for the     
 discomfort in the ankle joint.         
                                        
 Fowler has been complaining of pain    
 when running since an operation in     
 October and there were fears hj would  
 need more surgery to cure the problem. 
                                        
 But the club doctor confirmed that hj  
 will not face another operation.
