Camelot, the current operator, faces challenges from six rivals as it seeks to hang on to its licence for a second term — from October 2001-2008. Among the challengers is Virgin boss Richard Branson and his People's Lottery, which pledges to give all profits to charity. Camelot are teaming up with the Post Office for their bid.
