 RESORT HITS BACK AT TOURISM MAGAZINE   
 Council chiefs in Morecambe have hit   
 out at an article in a travel magazine 
 labelling it as "cheap" and "sad".     
                                        
 The article in Escape Routes magazine, 
 called Don't Go There, has incensed    
 locals in the Lancashire resort.       
                                        
 It said the resort was full of cheap   
 shops, and watching the muck on the    
 beach at low tide was pure melacholy.  
                                        
 Tourism spokesman Cllr Paul Morris said
 "It's an insult to everyone who has    
 worked hard to put Morecambe back on   
 the map. It's almost libellous."
