 TOWN REJECTS RACISM PORTRAYAL ON TV    
 Council leaders in Oldham have slammed 
 a Channel 4 documentary which showed   
 extreme racism in the town.            
                                        
 In the programme White Tribe, presenter
 Darcus Howe interviewed people with    
 extreme views on the racial diversity  
 of the Gtr Manchester town.            
                                        
 The series investigates the 'identity  
 crisis' facing some whites in England. 
                                        
 Council Leader John Battye said: "The  
 portrayal of a minority of people      
 doesn't represent the mainly harmonious
 way different cultures live in the town
