 WALL STREET SUFFERS UNDER RATE FEARS   
 (Close): Blue-chip stocks fell for a   
 fourth straight session as investors,  
 fearing a rise in inflation, moved away
 from industrial companies.             
                                        
 A shift of funds into high-technology  
 stocks pushed the Nasdaq index up 1.1  
 per cent to close at 4,235.40,         
 extending the record it set Thursday.  
                                        
 Inflation worries follow a rise in     
 crude oil prices this week.            
                                        
 This rekindled fears that the Federal  
 Reserve may raise interest rates more  
 than than the market expected.
