This month, the NHS National Screening Committee's report on the introduction of neonatal screening will go to MPs. The NDCS hope that they will take this opportunity to introduce measures for the early diagnosis of deafness. "It is a scandal that 50% of all deaf children are not identified until they are 18 months old and a futher 25% not until they are 3 years old," NDCS said.
