The twelve-year-old was pulled up by Tony McCoy during the second circuit of the race and died shortly afterwards due to a suspected heart-attack. The gelding had been a great servant to connections during his career, winning 11 races, the first back in 1994. His most memorable success came at the Cheltenham Festival in 1998 when taking the William Hill Handicap Chase. "Unfortunately he has bruised his off- fore foot and hj won't run in the Long Distance Hurdle," said Richards. "There is no other race over hurdles for him now so I think we will take him to Newbury on 12 February for the new Aon Insurance Chase. "The plan is then to go to Kelso if it is soft and then hopefully Aintree." LATEST BIG-RACE ANTE-POST PRICES 686 Daily Quiz 685 BHB 691 Race News 661 Istabraq Maguire Powell Levy
