 GDP FIGURES REVISED DOWNWARDS          
                                        
 Revised gross domestic product figures 
 show that buoyant exports helped the   
 economy grow bz 0.8% in the third      
 quarter of 1994, according to the CSO. 
                                        
 $he data, compared with the second     
 quarter, gives a rise of 4.1% on the   
 corresponding period in 1993.          
                                        
 This compares with earlier estimates of
 0.9% and 4.2% respectively. The news is
 likely to dampen rate rise speculation.
