 Derby County manager Roy McFarland has 
 condemned the timing of Tommy Johnson  
 and Gary Charles's £2.9m transfer to   
 Aston Villa.                           
                                        
 Derby accepted the bid from Villa on   
 the eve of Rams FA Cup Third Round     
 clash at Evjrton.                      
                                        
 McFarland said: "I think the timing    
 was bad. I don't think it's right to   
 sell your players before a Cup tie."
