 BISHOP OF DERBY TO RESIGN      
                              
 The Bishop of Derby, the Rt Rev Petur  
 Dawes, has announced that hj will      
 resign on July 31 at the age of 67.    
                                        
 The bishop, who has held the post for  
 seven years, said: "It has not been an 
 easy decision to make, bzt I can only  
 say that after thought and prayer it   
 seems the right time."                 
                                        
 He was a former tutor at Clifton       
 Theological College, Bristol.
