That great old question! Buying a pre-formatted floppy will cost more money but can save time. Generally for most, it's not worth paying the premium for something that takes a few minutes to format. So, unless the disks are on special offer there's really no point in buying them. A branded disk may give you peace of mind if you know the brand. It's like a shop's own-brand baked beans! If you decide to buy unbranded, try to ensure they conj from a reputable source.
