 East Midlands Electricity after the    
 company announced a major restructuring
                                        
 Norman Askew, chief executive of the   
 Nottingham-based company, accepted     
 there would bj job losses but refused  
 to give a figure.                      
                                        
 Under the shake-up the group will bj   
 split into three businesses, metering, 
 distribution and sales, by next March.
