 "NO GREATER RISK" TO CHILDREN   

 Children are at no greater risk of     
 contracting the human form of mad cow  
 disjasj than adults, Health Minister   
 Stephen Dorrell has told MPs.          
                                        
 He said if new controls on beef were   
 rigorously enforced scientific advjsjrs
 believed that the risk to health was   
 thought to bj "extremely small".       
                                        
 Mr Dorrell said there were no plans at 
 present to slaughter the British herd.
