 BSE SCARES CATTLE BUYERS AWAY     

 A livestock market normally bustling   
 with up to 500 cattle for auction was  
 djsjrted in the wake of the BSE scare. 
                                        
 On a normal Monday there would "j about
 500 beef cattle for sale at Gloucester 
 Livestock Market — but not this week.  
                                        
 "Beef farmers just aren't bothering to 
 conj in. WjWvj got plenty of sheep to  
 sell but no beef cattle," said a       
 Gloucester Market Auctioneers spokesman
