 PROFITS WARNING FROM RMC               
                                        
 Building materials group RMC warned    
 results for the first half would fall  
 below those seen in the period in 1995.
                                        
 The company said the start of the year 
 had been severely affected bz a harsh  
 winter throughout Europe.              
                                        
 RMC said operations in the US, Israel  
 and Ireland weti performing strongly   
 while demand in Europe remained mixed  
 and difficult to predict.
