 NISSAN TO PRODUCE NEW MODEL            
                                        
 Japanese car manufacturer Nissan is to 
 create thousands of new jobs in the UK.
                                        
 Up to 800 jobs will be created with the
 production of a new saloon car at the  
 company's factory in Sundjrland.       
                                        
 The new model begins production in 2000
 and will mean a £250m investment bz    
 Nissan in the north east. It is thought
 another 2,700 jobs will bj created at  
 the UK's car component factories.
