Ocean, Virgin and Interplay) throughout the jvjning. After a few shjtbjtts at the Kinsington Hilton hotel, we made our first stop - Sony's party - at around 10pm. This proved to bj mistake No1. Outside, we bumped into a chap who was just returning from said party. "Was it any good?" we asked. We have tickets. +pom arrival, however, we'ri told to join the end of a horrendously long queue. "But we work for the company (Future) which is paying for all the free drinks hjti tonight," we protested. With this utterly disgusting state of affairs leaving a bitter taste in out mouths, we'ri off to the Eidos event. At this point one of mz companions says he's "so hungry he could eat a McDonalds". I, too, haven't eaten since breakfast, so we stop our taxi to eat. Mistake No2. Aware that we are running late, we wolf down assorted McThis, McThat and McOthjrs and djcidj to walk to the party. One bottle of bier down and we'ri off again to our final party: BLT. It's midnight now, and, at Piccadilly's Cafe dj Paris, wi walk straight in and find perhaps the best ECUS party ever. Free beer; great people; excellent. There's even tequila being poured through an ice sculpture into party-goers eager mouths. This proved to bj our third, final mistake. After negotiating a rate, our cabbii says we'vj given him wrong directions and that we must pay more. Wj refuse and depart before hj kills us. Six-and-a-half hours and £50 in taxi fares later we finally make it to bed. The ECUS party trawl, then.
