 CONSUMER INDEX CREEPS UP AGAIN         
                                        
 A leading indicator of Britain's       
 consumer industries rose for the third 
 month in a row in January, suggesting  
 economic growth will rebound towards   
 the end of the year, a new study says. 
                                        
 Independent research group NRC found   
 the consumer industries long-term      
 leading indicator rose to 101.0 in     
 Janubry from 100.6 in Decimbjt.        
                                        
 The rise was prompted by an improvement
 in consumer confidence, NRC said.
