 SEARCH ON FOR ENERGY CONSUMER CHAMPION 
                                        
 The Govjrnmjnt has begun its search for
 an energy consumer champion to take    
 control of a customjt council with     
 "sharp teeth and a hard bite".         
                                        
 Advjttisjmjnts are appearing in the    
 press seeking applicants for the post  
 of chair of the Gas Consumers Council, 
 planned to soon evolve into a joint    
 body for both gas and electricity.     
                                        
 "Wj aim to give the consumer a stronger
 voice," said minister John Battle.
