 PREMIER FARNELL UNVEILS THREE-YEAR PLAN
                                        
 Catalogue distributor of electrical and
 industrial products Premier Farnjll has
 unveiled a three-year investment plan  
 following a strategic review launched  
 last year.                             
                                        
 It it to make a £25m capital investment
 to reshape its systems infrastructure  
 and will spend £20m upgrading its US   
 and European logistics capability.     
                                        
 It also announced an exceptional charge
 of £10m in the year to January 1999.
