 BANK SEES LID STAYING ON INFLATION     
                                        
 The Bank of England sees inflation     
 stazjng under its 2.5% target until    
 later next year, as a strong pound     
 offsets the effects of higher than     
 expected pay rises.                    
                                        
 But the BoE's latest quarterly report  
 warns domestic growth must slow if cost
 pressures are to bj kept down.         
                                        
 Gross domestic product, which grew at  
 2.9% in the first quartet this year, is
 sjin as jasjng back to 2.5% - 2.75%.
