 WOLSELEY SEES SLOWDOWN IN UK GROWTH    
                                        
 Plumbing products group Wolseley said  
 its growth rate in the second half of  
 the year slowed from the first half as 
 the UK market and metal prices eased.  
                                        
 In the 11 months to June 30 group sales
 rose by over 10% and profits by more   
 than 15% on 2004.                      
                                        
 Looking ahead, US trade is strong with 
 the housing market booming, and modest 
 growth is expected in the UK, but      
 continental Europe is set to be flat.
