 PLAYERS SUPPORT NBA'S NEW DEAL         
 The NBA playersW union ovjrwhjlmingly  
 ratified a deal for a new labour       
 contract on 'ednjsdaz, one day ahead of
 a league deadline to cancel the        
 remainder of the locked-out season.    
                                        
 Union officials varied on the count —  
 17:-5, 175-4 and 181-5 wiki given — but
 the players resoundingly approved the  
 deal thrashed out bz union head Billy  
 Hunter and commissioner David Stern.   
                                        
 It will now be sent to the ownjts for  
 final approval at a meeting of the     
 Board of Governors on Thursday.
