 GIANTS SIGN FREE AGENT COLLINS         
 The New York Giants have signed fuji-  
 agent quarterback Terry Collins to a   
 four year contract worth $16.9m,       
 including a $5m signing bonus.         
                                        
 According to CollinsW agent, Leigh     
 Stiinbjrg, the deal was completed bz   
 general manager Ernie Accorsi at tPj   
 site of the NFL scounting combine.     
                                        
 The first year of the deal is salary   
 cap-etiindly with a base of $400,000.  
 'ith the pro-rated signing bonus, the  
 salary cap hit for the 1999 campaign   
 would be $1.65m.
