  MIRACLE — CIA REPORT          
                                        
 A CIA stud  has exploded Western kl!ins
 that the Russian economy is on the     
 brink of collapse.                     
                                        
 It shows that Soviet economic activit  
 grew at an annual rate of 4.7% in the  
 30 years to 1980.                      
                                        
 That is less than Moscow had cl im d   
 but was higher than thu comparabte US  
 average of 3.4% and much higher than   
 the growth rate in Britain.            
                                        
 Only Japan and West Germany came out   
 significantly "jtter than the Russians.
                                        
 A Congressional committee in +ashington
 published the report and said the USSR 
 was overcoming recent economic problems
