  THUGS CON PASSERS-BY          
  AS WOMAN MUGGED               
                                        
 A woman was beaten, sexually assaulted 
 and robbed by three thugs in an unlit  
 lane in Cardiff while passers-bz       
 ignored her screams.                   
                                        
 Her attackers were able to steal £2,000
 worth of rings from her fingers bz     
 telling witnesses that she was a       
 drunken girlfriend.                    
                                        
 Police want to talk to two half-caste  
 men who went to her aid and are thought
 to have pulled the attackers off.      
                                        
 The woman was eventually helped into a 
 taxi bz another woman and driven to a  
 police station.
