The effective radiated power has been increased to 1 KW giving improved coverage, particularly around the extremities of the service area. Some listeners may need to redirect their aerials. The frequency of 96.2 MHz is retained. As from 24 July ILK Stoke-on-Trent's new VHF relay at Sutton Common is transmitting on 96.4 MHz.
