  ARMED POLICE SWOOP            
  ON 'FATHER RYAN HOUSE'        
                                        
 Police are questioning two people held 
 in a raid on a house where dismissed   
 priest Father Patrick Ryan is staying. 
                                        
 The pair, a man and a woman, were held 
 by armed detectives under the terms of 
 Ireland's Offences Against the State   
 anti-terrorist laws.                   
                                        
 Police recovered what was described as 
 "property" in a search of the house,   
 near the town of Fethard, Co Tipperary.
                                        
 Fr Ryan, 62, still technically a priest
 but barred from celebrating mass, was  
 the subject of a failed extradition bid
 over alleged IRA terrorist offences.
