 MAGISTRATE DEFENDS DECISION    

 A woman who sent a 13-year-old super-  
 crook who admitted 120 offences to a   
 children's home for some "tender,      
 loving care" has defended her decision.
                                        
 Magistrate Jane Harrison said the      
 youngster, who struck in Birmingham,   
 had to bj taught discipline.           
                                        
 But the schoolboy, who originally faced
 charges including assault and robbery, 
 also njedjd a hug, she said.
