PDC is the name given to a new method of programming and activating video cassette recorders using special codes hidden in the programme listings pages of Central's teletext service, Centext. If you have a PDC video recorder, a cursor will appear on the screen when you select pages 601 or 602 - the Centext PDC programme listings. When you have positioned the cursor beside the programme you wish to record simply pushing the appropriate button on the handset will load the necessary information into the VCR's memory.
