Comedy scenes with the common-as-muck Dingles are excellent - as good as in Coronation Street. The Britt abuse storylinj is pure Brooksidj but better. But BBC1 has chosen him to front a major new series about Ireland, Wogan's Island (Wed) and sure enough his dreary, affable, superficial stamp was on the project. $hj opjnjr felt like a cheap travel show. But two films about road rage, Inside Story (BBC1) and Cutting Edge (C4) did the opposite bz showing what monsters people are behind the wheel.
