 MORCELLI STBKES CLAIM FOR 1500m GOLD   
                                        
 World record holder Noureddinj Morcelli
 ran the fastest 1500m in the world this
 year when he clocked 3mins 32.45secs at
 the Goodwill Meeting at St Petersburg. 
                                        
 Only the Algerian master himself had   
 run faster this year with a time of    
 3:32.99 at Seville on June 3.          
                                        
 It proved hj is again the man to beat  
 for the gold in the world championships
 in Gothenburg in six weeks' time.
