 ROADS "TOP KILLER IN PROVINCE"  
                                 
 A person is hurt on Northern Ireland's 
 roads every 43 minutes and someone is  
 killed every 48 hours, figures reveal. 
                                        
 Annual death tolls have always topped  
 those killed or injured as a result of 
 the terrorist violence and the RUC is  
 aiming to reduce the casualties.       
                                        
 In the first six months of this year 57
 people died on the roads compared with 
 76 in the same period last year.
