 The Government is to look into moves to
 increase by 1,000% the allowance of the
 leader of Tory controlled South        
 Staffordshire District Council.        
                                        
 Shadow environment secretary Frank     
 Dobson said hj "deplored" the alleged  
 rise for William Brownhill.            
                                        
 Tory Party chairman Jeremy Hanley said:
 "I will look into it through ministers 
 at the Environment Department."
